Hout Bay & Llandudno

Nestled between mountains and sea, the beauty and charm of the village of Hout Bay never cease to amaze visitors and locals alike. Hout Bay has managed to keep a village atmosphere, even though it is only 20 minutes away from Cape Town city centre. The village boasts a few shopping centres, many restaurants, a working fishing harbour, the largest bird park in South Africa, many hiking trails, nature reserves and a white sandy beach!

Llandudno is a small residential village bordering on Hout Bay, and we class this beautiful area as part of the Republic of Hout Bay.

The world famous Chapmans Peak drive was opened to the public again as a toll road at the end of 2003 after major renovations. Even though it has been closed a number of times since then due to rock falls, when it's safe and open, it is well worth the trip!
