This recently built house is three years old and was designed by Anna Cowen. The living area is mostly open plan, with an abundance of light and space. All living rooms and bedrooms face west and have uninterrupted South Atlantic Ocean views. Some rooms also offer views of the surrounding mountains (Little Lions Head, Table Mountain, or Karbonkelberg). Whales, dolphins and seals are all seen regularly.

Tranquility Base is located in the quiet Baviaanskloof area of Hout Bay, in a quiet cul-de-sac high up on the side of the mountain. It has direct access to the mountain/walks on the mountain. Hout Bay has numerous attractions, and the Cape Peninsula, Cape Town and the Cape Winelands are within easy reach. It has three double bedrooms; upstairs main bedroom with full en-suite and a second full bathroom downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the house is serviced daily (Mon-Fri).
