Intaba Lodge

Intaba Lodge with its stunning mountain views, is set high above the magnificent HOUT BAY valley, looking towards Constantia.

This typical colonial Victorian-style house is set in an extensive, lush garden which is home to a host of bird life. Enjoy this natural setting with its rocks and indigenous flora, whilst sitting on the spacious veranda or ambling along the numerous footpaths. You will find this romantic and serene environment the perfect place to relax.

After a fascinating day-tour of Cape Town or one of the numerous other attractions in the Cape Province, you will enjoy relaxing by the pool or depending on the weather, in the green house or in front of a cosy fire whilst savouring fine wines from the region : or on sultry nights sip your drinks under a starry vault whilst listening to the song of night birds.

Intaba Lodge offers 5 spacious en suite bedrooms and two cottages, all of which have spectacular views. They are elegantly furnished with antique furniture and objects d'art from all over the world, yet the house retains a unique African ambience. Two of the rooms have an equipped kitchenette, perfect for longer stay or self-catering option.

All the rooms have stunning panoramic views on the mountain overlooking the enchanting garden. They are all furnished with queen-size bed, ceiling fan, underfloor heating, safe, tea/coffee facility, hairdryer, percale linen, gowns...

Rock Studio

Built around rocks, the Rock studio is very vast with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, a fireplace, en-suite shower room, and it has direct access to the garden with a private terrace between the rocks.

Veranda Suite

The Veranda Suite consists of one bedroom and a private lounge, en-suite bath and shower room. It is a very nice and vast room, easily convertible in a convenient family room.

Garden Room

The "honey moon" suite with open-plan bath and shower room with standing Victorian-style bath and private toilet. Direct access to the veranda and private patio.

Green house Suite

Vast room with direct access to the garden and private patio, en-suite shower room, kitchenette, independant entrance from the house.

The indigenous garden will enchant you with its riot of luminous colours and its charming lily pond with resident khoi fish. Here nature-lovers will appreciate the qualities of a well- preserved ecosystem.

Veranda room

The Veranda Room is a charming standard size bedroom with a Queen size bed and an en-suite shower room. It has many cupboards, mini-safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, underfloor heating, tea/coffee facility...and a nice view across the valley and the mountains. View cottage: The View cottage is located at the top of our property, 60m from the main house, offering stunning sweeping views over the mountains and the valley.

The View Cottage

The View Cottage has a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and separate shower, a lounge with open-plan kitchenette and a terrace. It is surrounded by the garden and one gets to it through the steep garden footpaths (not suitable for disabled). The cottage is equipped with satellite TV.

Tree cottage

The Tree cottage is located 20m from the main house among the trees with very nice views on the mountains and garden. It is a spacious and serene cottage offering a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, a fully equipped kitchen (gas oven, stove, micro-wave, refrigerator), dining and living room and outdoor furniture. It is surrounded by a large wooden deck overlooking the garden. The rooms have direct access to the deck. It is equipped with CD/DVD player and DSTV.
