Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, this bright, relaxed, family home is perfect for alfresco living. With a distinctive Cape feel, it sleeps a total of five people: two in a king-size bed in the main bedroom, and three on single beds in the large second bedroom. There are two bathrooms (main en-suite). The open-plan lounge and dining room lead directly out to an extensive, wind-protected and peaceful garden filled with indigenous trees, flowers and birds. The lounge overlooks a crystal clear swimming pool where you can swim in complete privacy. Dine at a table on the creeper-shaded patio alongside the pool or warm yourself around the Jetmaster fireplace indoors. A portable Weber-type kettle braai (barbeque) is available for use, and around the pool are loungers and a large sun umbrella. Please note that the pool is unfenced and thus the residence is unsuitable for small children and those that have not learnt to swim. Plenty of gated off-street parking is available, including shadenet-covered parking for one vehicle. The premises are fully fenced and alarmed, including outdoor and indoor beams to help keep you safe. The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering: a hob/oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine and clothes dryer. Other facilities include a TV (with M Net), ADSL internet access, a DVD Player/Recorder and a CD sound system. All bedding and towels are also supplied. Last but not least is the presence of Budd, the resident sweet-natured and talkative tabby cat. All he needs is some love, and pellets twice a day. If you are not a cat lover, I can arrange for Budd to stay somewhere else whilst you are at Phumla Apha. Activities and attractions that are available within a 5 minute drive of the house are: shops, restaurants, aerobics and gym, Hout Bay beach, Chapman’s Peak Drive, sailing, horse-riding, sea kayaking, bird-watching, cycling, whale watching (in season), surfing, fishing, walking. Within 15 minutes you will be able reach the dazzling Llandudno and/or Camps Bay beaches and the Constantia wine farms. GUEST’S COMMENTS “Phumla Apha was our home away from home while in Cape Town. Hout Bay & Llandudno
