Hout Bay, jewel of the Western Cape, lying behind the slopes of Table Mountain is indeed one of the world’s acknowledged beauty spots. A mystical hidden valley surrounded by majestic mountain ranges.

Sthabile Holiday Apartment rests in this valley within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, bottle store, supermarket, DVD rental shop, Beach, Laundrette and the famous Hout Bay Harbour.

Hout Bay Harbour is an active fishing harbour and probably the first fishermen here were the last Stone Age people. Trawlers can be seen off loading tons of crayfish as well as snoek, tuna and other deep-sea fish.   The first known name given to this beautiful bay was Chapmans Chaunce in 1607. It was renamed by Jan van Riebeeck, the first Dutch settler, to Houtbaaitjen meaning little wooden bay hence the present name Hout Bay.

The bay is surrounded by Chapmans Peak, a famous scenic drive built on a base of solid granite rock, and the majestic 331m high Sentinel Mountain. A little way up Chapmans Peak you can see a bronze leopard on the rocks. It was given as a gift to the people of Hout Bay in 1963 by local sculptor Ivan Milford Barbeton in memory of the many leopards, which roamed the mountainside. To the right of the leopard lie the remains of the manganese mine jetty.

Welcome to Sthabile Holiday Apartment. A spacious open plan lounge and kitchen with an inter leading balcony overlooking mountains on the left and right and Hout Bay Beach and bay in the centre. Accommodating four people comfortably this apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower and bath. The one bathroom is an en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom, which has a double bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. The apartment is fully furnished with an objective of making your stay as comfortable as possible.

The apartment is also in a secure complex with a designated parking bay behind a secure enclosure. Services offered in Apartment Television, CD/DVD Player, Radio, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Upmarket Furniture, Kitchen Utensils, Appliances, Cutlery, Bed Linen, Goose Down Inner Dovets, Towels, Security Complex, Solid Granite work top counter in the kitchen. The apartment is fully serviced once a week and that includes a fresh bed linen change and is at no cost to the tenant. A daily housekeeper can be arranged but at a cost to the tenant.
