EXCITING DEVELOPMENT FOR TREASUREAFRICA

Dear Friends of TreasureAfrica,

As you know my husband, Pierre and I started TreasureAfrica.com in 2002, listing our own guest house. We soon realised the potential of the website for other providers of accommodation, and for marketing the destination of Hout Bay. Listings increased and we shared enquiries while populating the site with interesting information about Hout Bay. Very soon we had a steady flow of enquiries.

Sustaining the success of TreasureAfrica has become a full time responsibility and therefore, after careful consideration we decided to hand over management of this website for the benefit of Hout Bay and all its tourism providers. I’m pleased to announce the new owners of TreasureAfrica, Bryan Harris and Andrew Empey.

Andrew and Bryan are perfect for the job. They love Hout Bay as much as we do and are involved in Hout Bay community and tourism initiatives. Furthermore, they have a strong European network to whom they market the site. We have been working together to revitalise the website.

Andrew and Bryan settled in Hout Bay a few years ago, and started a brand new tourism business, Hout Bay View, which they have successfully built it up into another Hout Bay gem.

I’m delighted they have taken up the challenge of managing TreasureAfrica and wish them many successful years of marketing our beautiful village and its treasures!

To formally launch the revitalised TreasureAfrica with its new management we will be having a small function at La Cuccina, Hout Bay on 14 October. Formal invitations to follow.

I would like to thank you for your support over the past 7 years, and I trust that you will show the same support to Andrew and Bryan, I certainly will.

Yours sincerely,

Retha van Staden
